Hey, guess who worked out how to add links ? I am SO smug - from html virgin to actually getting a link in place - and it only took me 4 HOURS to work out. AAGH ! Just as well I'm a determined little so and so when I get going. Now, only another 20 or so of my favourite sites to add ...

Oh and btw, strike the 6 days reference in the last post. Had to go and buy a birthday present in John Lewis this afternoon and ...WHOOPS ! ... it just sort of happened ... a big boy did it and ran away .... it wasn't me, honest ... 3 balls of Noro Kureyon LEAPT to their death from the shelf and it was only humane to stick my basket underneath and save them.

Plus big sis's birthday is coming up and she really wants a Booga bag. Good excuse, eh ?

Confessions of a Yarn Junkie

My name's Heather and I'm a yarnaholic. It's been 6 days since my last yarn purchase and I'm starting to feel the itch. I've fallen in with bad company and they keep tempting me off the straight and narrow with irresistible knitalongs .... you know who you are, Lis, not that I'm naming names ...

Okay, enough of the hair shirt. I feel NO shame. I glory in my woolly excess and I LOVE the company I've been keeping of late. I sleep secure in the knowledge that even if I never bought another ball or hank, I have enough to keep me smiling 'til I'm ninety ! If you're very good, I may even do a show and tell one day - as long as it's clearly understood that my stash will always be a work in progress and never a finished object.

So what am I up to just now ? Well, there's this :
Elfin, Rowan 34 - half way up first sleeve but I've lost the yarn, knitting slob that I am.

and this :
Tillie, Rowan 25 - quarter of the way up the back but this project's an accident really and only down to me having to wait for replacement yarn for Elfin !

and I'm thinking about this impending fabbo knitalong:
cos', like, I NEED another project, don't I ?

Plus at least another 5 WIP's I'm too lazy to take pictures of today. (It's taken me hours to get this far so I'm not going to push my luck.)

And I suppose I have to stop to feed the children at some point.

Once I work out how to put things in the other columns on this blog I'll treat you to the full WIP list .... just make it a day you've got plenty of time to sit and read ... I mean we're talking War & Peace here - or maybe the latest Jackie Collins depending on how I feel like viewing my knitting.

Whoa ! .... Getting to grips ........

Well, I've been and gone and done it now. From far-flung notion that I would quite like one of these blog thingies, here it is .... real .... now ....requiring input from me - and I haven't a scooby what I'm doing.

So bear with me anyone who's joined me for the ride. I shall eschew all social contact (and may even give up some knitting time !) until I can work out what the heck I'm supposed to be doing here.
